The city of South Tangerang is celebrating its 16th anniversary on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. A series of lively and diverse activities will be held for the local residents, but of course, they will take place after the Pilkada voting.
The Head of the One-Stop Integrated Investment and Licensing Service (DPMPTSP), Maulana Prayoga Utama Putra, who is also the Chairman of the 16th Anniversary Committee of South Tangerang, revealed that this year’s celebration is designed to involve all layers of society.
“This year, we are presenting a series of events that not only entertain but also provide direct benefits to the community, ranging from sports activities, cultural arts, to investment promotion,” said Maulana.
Starting with the Commemorative Session for the 16th Anniversary of Tangsel City on November 26 at the Tangsel City DPRD Office. Considering that the time is still within the campaign quiet period, the event was held simply to focus on commemorating the reflective moments of Tangsel’s journey since its establishment on November 26, 2008.
However, a series of festive activities to celebrate the anniversary will be held after the quiet period and the election day on November 27, 2024.
For example, there will be the Tangsel Harmony Festival. This arts and culture event will be held on November 30 at the Masjid Raya Bintaro Jaya (MRBJ), showcasing various arts and cultures unique to Tangsel. Then, the Tangsel Orchid Festival, which is claimed to be the largest orchid festival in Tangsel, will take place from December 4 to 8.
“We know that Tangsel City is an orchid producer, so we will showcase various collections of orchids from all over Indonesia as well as workshops for ornamental plant enthusiasts,” said Maulana.
