Lawyer Otto Cornelis Kaligis, also known as OC Kaligis, is undergoing questioning at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) regarding the conspiracy case of corruption, bribery, and gratuity in handling the case of convict Ronald Tannur from 2023 to 2024, with suspects former high-ranking officials of the Supreme Court (MA) Zarof Ricar (ZR) and Ronald Tannur’s lawyer, Lisa Rahmat. (LS).
He explained that the investigators found his name in the handwriting of the suspect Lisa Rahmat (LS) after conducting a search. Therefore, he was summoned to undergo an examination.
“So when they searched (Lisa Rahmat’s office), they found his handwriting, OC Kasasi 5 M (5 billion IDR),” said OC Kaligis at the Attorney General’s Office, South Jakarta, Tuesday (26/11/2024).
“Then I was asked what this was, I had a case against lawyer Lisa Rahmat.” Why do I know he is colluding with the judge? Because in North Jakarta, I submitted the evidence, and since he is the lawyer, he said, “Ah, let’s set aside this evidence.” “Well, I asked him why,” he continued.
According to him, the suspect Lisa Rahmat deceived the judge to reject the cassation of her client’s case. He concluded that there was a conspiracy between the panel of judges and the opposing party’s lawyer at that time.
“Because of that, there is evidence regarding Isidorus’s (Lisa Rahmat’s client) obligation to pay a fee of Rp10 billion.” “After we made our conclusion, because the judge had already sided with Lisa, the verdict was delivered two days later,” he explained.
OC Kaligis then attempted to report the panel of judges for allegedly being biased towards Lisa Rahmat’s client. However, there was no follow-up on his complaint.
“I reported the judge because he was biased.” Indeed, everywhere Lisa is known for handling cases, having a good relationship with judges, then appealing, and then cassation, suddenly the Prosecutor’s Office has evidence of that OC Cassation 5 billion, what is that. That must be a bribe to the judge for my appeal to be rejected,” he said.
Working Together with the Panel of Judges
He believes that the handwritten note “OC Kasasi 5 M” from Lisa Rahmat is a sign of case manipulation to defeat him in court, in collusion with the panel of judges.
“That is a bribe from Lisa Rahmat.” Why, I already told the Prosecutor’s Office that I was being questioned, why doesn’t your Head of Public Relations coordinate with you, I said. I have already provided all the evidence. “He is indeed a broker of cases, Markus,” he said.
“So yesterday I was interrogated (too), today it’s resolved.” So I have a cassation to be rejected, she (the suspect Lisa Rahmat) gave 5 million OC Cassation to North Jakarta, oh that’s my case. In the future, there are two lawyers who will be played by him. One PK, he’s a master at lobbying. Wow, everything, but when you called me, it seemed like you were part of a conspiracy. Wow, I only knew that when he was searched, there was a name OC Kasasi 5 M. This must be my case for the 5 billion rupiah bribery appeal,” continued OC Kaligis.
He also emphasized that he has no connection to the Ronald Tannur case, nor any close relationship with Lisa Rahmat. The investigator only confirmed the suspicion of involvement because his name was found in the suspect’s handwriting.
“When asked what your relationship is with him, I said I know he is a player.” In a case with sufficient evidence, suddenly in the morning he said he was sidelined. Now Isidorus has been exiled to Singapore,” OC Kaligis emphasized.
