The pair of candidates for governor and deputy governor of West Java (Jabar) 2024, Dedy Mulyadi and Erwan Setiawan, won decisively at the polling place where President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto cast his vote. Prabowo cast his vote at polling station 008 in Bojong Koneng Village, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (27/11/2024).
Based on data received by Liputan6.com on Wednesday at 5:08 PM WIB, the Dedy Mulyadi-Erwan Setiawan pair received 295 votes at the polling station where Prabowo voted. The number of permanent voter lists (DPT) at the polling station was 595 people.
Meanwhile, the pair Acep Adang Ruhiyat-Gitalis Dwinatarina received 69 votes, Jeje Wiradinata-Ronal Surapradja 8 votes, and Ahmad Syaikhu-Ilham Habibie 8 votes.
The total number of ballots was 460, of which 380 were declared valid and 36 invalid. In addition to the West Java 2024 gubernatorial election, Polling Station 008, where Prabowo cast his vote, also held the Bogor regency election. From a total of 389 valid ballots, the pair Rudy Susmanto-Ade Ruhandi received 379 votes, while Bayu Syahjojan-Musyafaur Rahman received 11 votes.
Previously, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto conveyed several messages to the winning and losing candidates in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections. He emphasized that winning and losing are natural in every election.
“Yes, in every election there are winners and losers. Yes, everyone must cooperate,” said Prabowo after casting his vote in the West Java Regional Election at polling station 008 in Bojong Koneng Village, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (27/11/2024).
According to him, the winning regional head candidate must become a leader for all the people. Meanwhile, the losing regional head candidate must still cooperate and contribute to serving the community.
“The winner must become a leader for everyone, the loser must cooperate. The important thing is to serve the people, work for the people. I think that’s it,” he explained.
Determine the Best Regional Head Candidate
On the other hand, Prabowo appreciated the voting process of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections. He allowed the public to choose the best candidates to lead their regions.
“Yes, it’s good. Everything went smoothly, all good. Yes, please, it’s up to the people to choose the best. Everything is good,” said Prabowo.
