The Minister of Housing and Settlements (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, has launched a contest with a prize of IDR 8 billion for anyone who can find the fugitive in the corruption case, Harun Masiku.
The contest went viral on social media X. “Who is Harun Masiku that he can’t be caught for years?” said Maruarar as seen in the viral video.
He also promised Rp 8 billion to anyone who can capture Harun Masiku. Maruarar expressed his astonishment because Harun Masiku is still a fugitive until now.
For your information, Maruarar is recorded as a member of the DPR for the 2014-2019 period. He is also recorded as having served as the chairman of Taruna Merah Putih, the youth wing of the PDI Perjuangan party.
He then left PDIP and switched to supporting Prabowo Subianto, who was endorsed by the Gerindra Party in the 2024 presidential election.
While serving as a member of the DPR, Ara reported her net worth after deducting debts, amounting to Rp 85.8 billion. Ara is recorded to have debts amounting to Rp 33.79 billion.
Ara’s wealth mostly consists of land and buildings worth Rp 74.48 billion. The property assets he owns are spread across Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and North Sumatra.
Quoting the LHKPN, Ara has assets in the form of transportation and machinery worth Rp 1.15 billion, consisting of a Fotton Ambulance (2012) worth Rp 94.5 million, a Toyota Alphard (2017) worth Rp 713.77 million, and a Toyota Fortuner (2017) worth Rp 344 million. All of those vehicles were obtained through her own efforts.
Ara also reported other movable assets worth IDR 7.42 billion, securities worth IDR 11.08 billion, and cash and cash equivalents worth IDR 19.95 billion.
