Viral Social Assistance Using RIDO Logo, Basri Baco: That Was During the Campaign Period

The Secretary of the Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate number 1 Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) campaign team, Basri Baco, denied that they had committed fraud by distributing basic food packages to Jakarta residents during the quiet period of the 2024 Pilkada.

This was conveyed by Baco in response to various narratives circulating on social media X regarding the distribution of basic necessities with the RIDO logo to Jakarta residents during the quiet period of the 2024 Pilkada. He said that the basic necessities with the RIDO logo that were circulating were distributed during the campaign as part of a promotional giveaway. “Some videos I need to clarify again, the basic necessities that are circulating with the RIDO bag, that was during the campaign,” said Baco at the DPD Golkar Jakarta, Thursday night, November 28, 2024.
Baco stated that RIDO’s campaign team would not recklessly engage in open money politics during the quiet period. Moreover, he said, the basic necessities that were circulating contained the RIDO logo, which was supported by political parties in the Coalition for a Advanced Indonesia. (KIM).

“It’s impossible for someone to be so foolish as to distribute basic necessities during the quiet week. It’s impossible to use basic necessities with that logo, right? Logically, it just doesn’t make sense, it’s impossible,” explained Baco.

It is known that the campaign team for the Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), has prepared a reward of Rp10 million for citizens who report fraud in the Jakarta 2024 gubernatorial election.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the RIDO Winning Team, Ahmad Riza Patria or Ariza, at the DPD Golkar Party DKI, Jakarta, Thursday (28/11/2024). They claim to have found various irregularities in the Jakarta 2024 gubernatorial election.

“We have announced a reward of Rp10 million for anyone who finds evidence of money politics or the distribution of basic necessities during the quiet period or leading up to the election or before the election,” said Ariza.
