President Prabowo Subianto held a plenary cabinet meeting at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Monday (2/12/2024). The cabinet meeting, attended by ministers and deputy ministers, is scheduled to start at 15:30 WIB.
Based on Liputan6.com’s observation, the ministers started arriving since 2:00 PM WIB. They appeared to be in sync, wearing white shirts.
“Yes, there will be a plenary cabinet meeting later,” said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto upon arriving at the Jakarta Presidential Palace.
The ministers were reluctant to disclose what the discussion topics would be in the meeting. However, Prabowo will give a briefing to the ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet.
For your information, this is the first plenary cabinet meeting after Prabowo returned from a two-week overseas trip. The plenary cabinet meeting was initially scheduled for Friday, November 29, 2024, but was postponed.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto was scheduled to gather the Merah Putih cabinet for a plenary cabinet meeting on Friday, November 29, 2024. The plenary cabinet meeting was planned to be held at the Jakarta Presidential Palace on Friday afternoon.

He said one of the agendas that will be discussed in the cabinet meeting is the results of President Prabowo’s visit to six countries. Prabowo is known to have made state visits to China, the United States, Peru, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates over the course of two weeks.
“Yes, of course, besides the results of the President’s visit, there are other updates from each coordinating minister and ministry, which is routine,” explained Prasetyo.
When asked whether the cabinet meeting would discuss the proposal to raise VAT to 12 percent, Prasetyo dismissed it. According to him, the VAT increase is still being calculated.
“Wait for the announcement date. It’s still being calculated,” he said.
