Jakarta – The Depok Metro Police have arrested three drug trafficking suspects with the initials AS, RB, and DW. The three suspects were caught distributing drugs worth Rp1.4 billion in the Depok area and face life imprisonment.
The Metro Depok Police Chief, Kombes Arya Perdana, stated that the Narcotics Unit of the Metro Depok Police is making disclosures by following up on the President’s mandate, focusing on crimes that need to be uncovered and eradicated, one of which is narcotics. The Narcotics Unit of the Metro Depok Police has uncovered and secured three suspects along with the evidence.
“The evidence includes one kilogram of methamphetamine, four ecstasy pills, and five kilograms of marijuana,” Arya told Liputan6.com, Tuesday (3/12/2024).
The three suspects are drug dealers who have been handled by the Depok Metro Police and face life imprisonment or a minimum of 20 years in prison. The three suspects received orders from customers and couriers to deliver the orders to the customers.
“When we received information from an informant, we arrested them and they were using a two-wheeled motorcycle to deliver the goods,” said Arya.
The Value Reaches Billions

Arya explained that one kilogram of methamphetamine, 20 ecstasy pills, and five kilograms of marijuana were found in the suspect’s possession. The drugs secured by the Depok Metro Police reached billions of rupiah.
“If one kilogram of methamphetamine is estimated to be worth Rp 1.4 billion, while the price of marijuana per kilogram is Rp 5 million,” explained Arya.
