Jakarta – PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir expressed his delight after the Indonesian Women’s National Team secured their spot in the final of the 2024 AFF Women’s Championship.
That certainty was achieved after the squad coached by Satoru Mochizuki secured a brilliant 3-0 victory over Singapore in the semifinals held at New Laos National Stadium on Monday (2/12/2024) evening WIB.
It was Claudia Scheunemann, Reva Octaviani, and Octavianti Dwi Nurmalita who were the stars behind the success of Garuda Pertiwi in that match.
The three of them contributed the winning goals for the Merah Putih team, each at the 6th minute, the 45+1 minute, and the 90+4 minute.
Erick Thohir, as the Chairman of PSSI, immediately expressed his pride in the achievements of the Indonesian Women’s National Team at the 2024 AFF Women’s Championship. This was evident from the caption of his Instagram post following the victory of Garuda Pertiwi over Singapore.
“Final! The Indonesian Women’s National Team successfully advanced to the final of the AFF Women’s Cup 2024 after defeating Singapore in the semifinals,” wrote Erick Thohir in his Instagram social media post on Monday (2/12/2024).
