Jakarta – Students in the City of Cilegon from various organizations appreciate the performance of the election organizers, including the KPU, Bawaslu, the police, and other stakeholders, who are considered to have successfully conducted the 2024 Pilkada in Cilegon.
In appreciation of their performance, students from GMNI (Indonesian National Student Movement), IMC (Cilegon Student Association), and GEMA Alkhariyah Cilegon presented red roses. During the plenary meeting to recapitulate the vote count results for the City of Cilegon in the gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial, as well as mayoral and vice-mayoral elections of Cilegon 2024, held at one of the hotels in Cilegon City, on Tuesday (3/12/2024).
The Chairman of the Cilegon Student Association (IMC), Arifin Solehudin, stated that the 2024 regional elections in Cilegon City were conducted smoothly, successfully, well, and democratically. Therefore, students are committed to continuously overseeing every stage of the regional elections until completion.
“We appreciate the Cilegon City Pilkada that was conducted peacefully, coolly, and democratically. This is a true manifestation of an integrity-based democracy,” said Arifin.
Arifin also invited the entire community to join hands in supporting the newly elected regional head to build the City of Cilegon, improve human resources (HR), prosper the community, and enhance the infrastructure of the City of Cilegon.
“Actually, from the beginning, we (IMC) have been committed to jointly helping the government in improving the welfare of the people of Cilegon. And also helping the government to enhance the development of infrastructure,” he stated.
In agreement, the Chairman of GMNI Cilegon City, Ihwan Muslim, also appreciated the performance of the KPU and Bawaslu Cilegon City, which were considered successful in organizing the 2024 Pilkada.
“We from 4 student organizations in Cilegon (GMNI, PMII, IMC, and GEMA Alkhariyah) intend to give this red rose to appreciate the election organizers who have conducted the regional election smoothly and safely,” explained Ihwan.
Response from the Cilegon KPU
In response to this, the Chairman of the Cilegon City KPU, Patchurrohman, expressed gratitude for the arrival of the students who appreciated the performance of the KPU and Bawaslu in organizing the 2024 Pilkada.
“We would like to thank the students who appreciate our performance. In this regard, I would also like to thank the police officers who have assisted us from the beginning to the end of the election administration,” he concluded.
The results of the KPU plenary meeting today concluded that the Robinsar-Fajar Hadi Prabowo pair won the Cilegon 2024 Pilkada. The details are as follows: the Robinsar-Fajar Hadi Prabowo candidate pair received 123,196 (50.56%) votes, Helldy Agustian-Alawi Mahmud 68,371 (28.06%) votes, and Isro Mi’roj-Nurrotul Uyun 52,086 (21.37%) votes.
