Jakarta, – The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming or the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) is optimistic that the investment target of IDR 1,650 trillion can be achieved by the end of this year.
Expert Staff in the Field of Equity and Business Partnership of Investment at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming or BKPM, Andi Maulana, stated that investment realization until September 2024 has reached Rp 1,262 trillion.
“God willing, by the end of the year we can achieve it, around 20%-25% to support the target (economic growth) of 5.1%,” said Andi at the Sarasehan 100 Ekonom INDEF, Wednesday (3/12/2024).
To achieve this target, several economic transformations have already been implemented, ranging from policies to the acceleration of investment and labor regulations. He said that his side could not disclose detailed information, but the business identification number (NIB) has increased to date. As many as 11 million NIBs have been issued by BKPM.
“Then there are investment commitments that we call the pipeline, realization can take 3 months, can take 1 year, that’s what we are pursuing to accelerate investment. We have to chase that.” We assist with the permits, opening the factories, importing the machines, and so on. Don’t let the pipeline drag on for one or two years when our target keeps increasing every year,” he emphasized.
