Jakarta,- Minister of Manpower Yassierli officially issued the Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 6 of 2024 regarding Wages. In the regulation, the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and the City Minimum Wage (UMK) for 2025 will increase by 6.5%. Here is the formula.
For the UMP in 2025, the increase is 6.5%. The calculation formula is this year’s UMP plus the increase value for the UMP in 2025, which is 6.5%.
“The determination of the Provincial Minimum Wage for 2025 uses the following formula for calculating the Provincial Minimum Wage: UMP2025 = UMP2024 + Value of UMP2025 Increase,” Yassierli stated in the Minister of Manpower Regulation, quoted on Wednesday (4/12/2024).
Meanwhile, in the Minister of Manpower Regulation, the increase in the provincial Minimum Wage for 2025 considers economic growth, inflation, and certain indices.
“Certain indices as referred to in paragraph (4) letter c are variables that represent the contribution of the workforce to the provincial economic growth, taking into account the interests of Companies and Workers/Laborers as well as the principle of proportionality to meet the decent living needs of Workers/Laborers,” states Chapter II Article 2 Point 5.
Meanwhile, for the Minimum Wage for Districts/Cities (UMK), the calculation basis used is UMK2025 = UMK2024 + Increase in UMK2025. Similar to the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), the increase in the Minimum Wage for Districts/Cities in 2025 is 6.5%.
