Planning to File a Lawsuit with the Constitutional Court, Hasto of PDIP Suggests Using a Lie Detector for Witness Examination

Jakarta – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will file a lawsuit regarding alleged fraud in several regions during the simultaneous 2024 regional elections. The plan is to file the lawsuit with the Constitutional Court (MK) on December 15, 2024.

The Secretary-General of the DPP Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, also encouraged the use of a lie detector or polygraph during the witness examination process at the Constitutional Court later.

“The lawsuit to the Constitutional Court will later be conducted according to the levels. There are those at the district-city level, then there are those at the provincial level,” said Hasto in Lenteng Agung, Wednesday (12/4/2024).

“Yes, from the beginning, as I mentioned in my interview with Akbar Faisal, it was emphasized how the pressure was directed at me not to interfere in the regional elections in North Sumatra, Central Java, East Java, and then Jogja, in several areas of Jogja, because everything was already arranged and in the end, it was proven to happen,” he added.

Hasto explained that PDI Perjuangan continues to gather evidence regarding the involvement of the Coklat Party or Parcok, even though from the beginning various special operations involving Parcok were indeed designed without evidence.

“But what we believe is that when someone commits an act and refuses to acknowledge it, one of the solutions offered by psychologists is a lie detector test,” he said.

Psychologist’s Proposal

PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto spoke out about Maruarar Sirait’s statement, which mentioned that Pramono Anung-Rano Karno would be abandoned by non-Muslim supporters.

Hasto said that the examination using a polygraph was also a suggestion from several psychologists, so it is hoped that it can clarify the involvement of the brown party in the simultaneous regional elections.

“Well, it should be these leaders who have been empirically proven in the field, where facts on the ground are the driving force behind Parcok, that should also be willing to accept the challenge from psychologists to undergo a lie detector test.” Because this is related to the future of this country,” he emphasized.

Furthermore, Hasto stated that the abuse of state apparatus for electoral purposes is part of a democratic crime.

“That is part of the human rights violation against the constitutional rights of citizens to vote freely and sovereignly,” he said.
