Jakarta – The campaign team for Jakarta gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial candidates number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), visited the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu office on Wednesday (4/12/2024).
The RIDO camp requested clarification from the Bawaslu regarding the follow-up on reports of alleged violations that occurred in the Jakarta 2024 Pilkada.
“We will request clarification and confirmation from the Bawaslu regarding the issues with the reports we have submitted in several areas,” said the Coordinator of the RIDO Winning Team, Ramdan Alamsyah, to reporters at the DKI Bawaslu, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/12/2024).
Ramdan stated that the same report had also been submitted by various layers of society. He lamented the Jakarta Bawaslu for being slow in responding to the report.
“And until today, there has been no significant action that we consider capable of representing the performance of Bawaslu DKI, including its subordinates, namely Panwascam and Bawaslu Kota,” said Ramdan.
Furthermore, Ramdan highlighted Bawaslu Regulation Number 8 of 2020. Ramdan stated that based on that regulation, Bawaslu must immediately follow up on every report received.
“After the report is made, an initial review must be conducted. This initial review has a two-day timeframe for follow-up. However, in several areas that we reported, it has been more than three days without any follow-up,” he explained.
According to Ramdan, that is what he has already asked the Head of the Violation and Handling Division of Bawaslu DKI Jakarta, Benny Sabdo. He requested the firmness of Bawaslu to follow up on the report that has been submitted by the RIDO Team.
“Don’t give the impression of letting time pass until this report’s deadline is up.” We know, the deadline for the implementation of the PSU is until the 7th. (Pemungutan Suara Ulang). We suspect collusion between one institution and another,” said Ramdan.
