Jakarta – Actor Denny Sumargo emphasized that there has been no agreement with lawyer Farhat Abbas regarding the continuation of donations for the acid attack victim, Agus Salim. Denny made this statement to reporters.
“The agreement is not yet in place, because yesterday was more about a peace invitation from Farhat and his apology,” said Denny Sumargo on Thursday (5/12/2024).
He revealed that although he had accepted Farhat Abbas’s apology, the decision regarding the continuation of Agus Salim’s donation still needs to be discussed together, especially with the involved donors.
“I accept his apology. But the continuation of the donation still needs to be discussed because it must involve the donors,” added Denny.
Returning to Indonesia
Currently, Denny Sumargo is in Macau, China, for work-related matters. He explained that the meeting with Farhat Abbas, Agus Salim, Pratiwi Noviyanthi (Novi), and the donors will be held after he returns to Indonesia.
Denny also stated that his issue with Farhat Abbas was resolved after they reconciled at the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs the previous Wednesday.
“After he apologized to me in front of the minister and his staff, I accepted his apology and consider this matter resolved,” said Denny.
