Solo – Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel Ebenezer unexpectedly met with the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at his private residence in Solo on Thursday (5/12/2024). In that closed meeting, Jokowi entrusted an important message to the Chairman of the Jokowi Mania Volunteers, who is currently also the leader of the Prabowo Mania Volunteers.
The Deputy Minister of Manpower, affectionately called Noel, visited Jokowi’s private residence located at Jalan Kutai Utara No 1, Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, around 14:09 WIB. The meeting between Jokowi and the Chairman of the Prabowo Mania Volunteers took place in the living room of Jokowi’s house.
After a half-hour meeting, Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer then explained his visit to meet the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, in Solo. He made a sudden visit to Jokowi’s house in between his trip to visit the textile and garment factory PT Sri Rejeki Isman (Sritex) in Sukoharjo.
“First and foremost, my presence here to meet Mr. Jokowi as a former president is because we are his volunteers, so it’s like meeting my own parents.” “So we are meeting with our parents,” he said to reporters in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, Thursday (5/12/2024).
Don’t Corrupt
In the one-on-one meeting, the Deputy Minister of Manpower did not clearly explain what was discussed in the meeting. However, he mentioned that the meeting was only for exchanging ideas with Jokowi while enjoying drinks together.
“For now, it’s just discussions and coffee sessions as usual, nothing more than that,” he said.
When asked by reporters about the message conveyed by Jokowi to him, he admitted that the father of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka had entrusted him with a message to serve honestly and not engage in corruption.
“He reminded me not to be corrupt.” Don’t let this nation, what is not so good and so on. Basically, the substance is clear because I am still the General Chair of Jokowi Mania, Mas Noel’s message is don’t be corrupt,” he said, imitating Jokowi’s words.
