Palembang – The position determines the achievement, that saying seems to be clearly illustrated by the South Sumatra Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub). The most votes were received by the candidate pair (paslon) with the first number, followed by the subsequent numbered paslon.
From the quick count results after the voting in the South Sumatra (Sumsel) Gubernatorial Election (Pilgub), the candidate pair number 1 Herman Deru-Cik Ujang (HDCU) led with 73 percent.
The superiority of votes for the former Governor of South Sumatra in the South Sumatra Gubernatorial Election was also proven by the recapitulation results from 17 regions in South Sumatra by the South Sumatra General Election Commission (KPU).
From the completion of the vote recapitulation, HDCU excelled in 15 districts/cities in South Sumatra with a vote acquisition of 51.61 percent after receiving 2,220,437 valid votes.
Unlike the two candidates who paired with female representatives in the Sumsel gubernatorial election, the candidate number 2, ERA, garnered 1,082,241 votes or 25.16 percent.
Followed by candidate pair 03 Mawardi Yahya-Anita Noeringhati (Matahati) who received 999,111 votes or 21.61 percent. Meanwhile, the number of invalid votes reached 322,025 votes or 6.96 percent.
A member of the South Sumatra KPU Technical Division for Election Organization, Handoko, said that 17 districts/cities in South Sumatra have submitted the recapitulation results for the South Sumatra gubernatorial election. The last three regions to complete the recapitulation process are Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Selatan, Ogan Ilir, and Lahat.

“We have also conducted a coordination meeting to prepare for the implementation of the provincial-level vote count recapitulation,” he said on Friday (6/12/2024).
There are 15 districts/cities that dominated the votes for HDCU in the Sumsel gubernatorial election, namely the City of Prabumulih, the City of Lubuklinggau, the City of Pagar Alam, the Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI) and Musi Rawas Utara Regencies. (Muratara).
Then, the districts of Empat Lawang, Musi Banyuasin, and Musi Rawas in South Sumatra, OKU, OKU Timur, OKU Selatan, Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), Banyuasin, Muara Enim, and Lahat.
