The winning team of the Jakarta gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates number 3, Pramono Anung-Rano Karno or Pramono-Rano, revealed that the people of Jakarta want the new governor to start working immediately to resolve issues in Jakarta, after the DKI Jakarta KPU declared the pair as the highest vote-getters in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“I have been around the city of Jakarta and met with the people of Jakarta, and everyone wants a leader in Jakarta who is ready to work as soon as possible to solve the problems of the people of Jakarta,” said the treasurer of the Pramono-Rano victory team, Charles Honoris, at the Pramono-Rano Victory House on Jalan Cemara 19, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday, December 8, 2024.
On that occasion, Charles hoped and invited the candidates for number 1, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO), and number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun), to graciously accept the decision of the Jakarta General Election Commission.
“We have already gone through the tiered counting process, starting from the TPS level, sub-district, district, up to the city/county. We have accepted the results,” said Charles.
The politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle stated that the RIDO and Dharma-Kun pair have the right to file a legal lawsuit if they wish. “But please remember that the people of Jakarta today want a government that can start working immediately,” he said.
The DKI Jakarta KPU declared the Pramono-Rano candidate pair as the winners in the 2024 Jakarta Gubernatorial Election, with 2,183,239 votes. The Jakarta KPU announced this result after holding a plenary meeting to recap the provincial-level Jakarta Gubernatorial Election votes over two days, from Saturday, December 7, to Sunday, December 8, 2024.
Pram-Doel was declared to have received the most votes with 2,183,239 votes, RIDO received 1,718,160 votes. In third place was Dharma-Kun with 459,230 votes.
Pramono-Rano Ready to Fulfill Campaign Promises
The Pramono-Rano candidate pair is ready to hit the ground running to fulfill their campaign promises after the DKI Jakarta KPU declared them the winners of the Jakarta 2024 gubernatorial election. “After being officially inaugurated on February 7, 2025, Pramono-Rano, who have already identified various issues faced by Jakarta residents, will immediately hit the ground running to realize ‘Jakarta Menyala’,” said Charles.
He explained that, in accordance with their campaign promises, Pramono-Rano will continue the good work programs of previous governors, considering their value and benefits for the people. They will improve the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP), the Elderly Card, and the general public health services.
According to Charles, with 50.07 percent of the votes, the victory of the Pramono-Rano camp is not just a number and data, but a manifestation of the great hope of all Jakarta residents who want the ‘Jakarta Menyala’ policy to be implemented immediately.
As a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives currently on recess, he admitted to having visited several areas in Jakarta and found many residents longing for Jakarta to be led again by a definitive governor.
“The absence of a definitive governor for almost half of the governor’s term has been a major complaint among Jakarta residents, as it has caused many people’s programs to be delayed,” he said.
