Bandung – A man with the initials DA (48) is the main perpetrator of the kidnapping of a woman in Antapani, Bandung, West Java. DA admitted to harboring a grudge against the victim’s husband, SA. (49).
DA and SA were known to have had a romantic relationship, even getting married in a religious ceremony. However, their relationship ended after SA reconciled with her legal husband, which hurt DA.
However, DA had another reason for daring to kidnap SA. DA admitted to harboring a grudge against SA’s husband, who had once sent someone to his house.
“It hurts more (emotionally) because her husband once came to my mom’s house, ordered people around, and even ransacked the living room,” said DA when asked by the Head of Public Relations of West Java Police, Kombes Jules Abraham, during a press conference held at the Bandung Police Headquarters, as reported by detikJabar, Wednesday (11/12/2024).
Jules then asked about DA’s relationship with the victim. From his confession, DA had visited SA’s family to seek clarification about their relationship. However, that effort did not yield any results.
Nevertheless, DA admitted that the kidnapping of SA was never planned beforehand. The act occurred spontaneously, or rather, unintentionally.
“Since 2014 until 2018 there was no clarity, I have already met with his family in Tasik.” (The reason for the kidnapping) was unintentional,” he said.
