Jakarta Officially, Jokowi is no longer part of PDI Perjuangan. The politician who has held political positions thanks to PDIP has now been removed from the party membership.
The two-term President of the Republic of Indonesia is no longer allowed to engage in activities or hold any positions in the name of PDIP.
The dismissal decree letter for Jokowi numbered 1649/kpts/DPP/XII/2024 was read directly by the Chairman of the Honorary Board of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of PDIP, Komarudin Watubun.
Since the dismissal letter was issued, the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri no longer has any connection with Jokowi.
“And is not responsible for anything done by Mr. Joko Widodo,” said Komarudin, Monday, December 16, 2024.
Komarudin said that the decree he read out is effective from the date it was issued. If there are any errors in the future, they will be reviewed and corrected as necessary.
Not only Jokowi, but also his eldest son who is now serving as Vice President, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and his son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, were also dismissed. Practically, there is no longer any Jokowi lineage in the white-nosed bull party.
Without wasting any time, Jokowi responded to his expulsion from the PDIP party. He admitted that he respected PDIP’s decision to expel him, his son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and his son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, from the party.
“That’s okay, I respect that,” said Jokowi in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
Jokowi emphasized that he does not plan to defend himself or seek justification regarding that decision.
“I am not in a position to defend or pass judgment because the decision has already been made.” Later, time will test it. “I think that’s it,” said Jokowi.

When asked about the return of the PDIP membership card (KTA), Jokowi only responded with a smile.
Regarding the possibility of establishing a new political party, he again mentioned the concept of an individual party. “I have already mentioned it, an individual party,” said Jokowi, as reported by Antara.
When asked about the reason for the dismissal, Jokowi reiterated his stance of not providing any judgment or justification.
“I already mentioned earlier, I am not in a position to defend or give an assessment, because it has already been decided.” Later, time will be the judge,” said Jokowi.
