KPK Sets 2 Suspects in the Alleged Corruption Case of Bank Indonesia’s CSR Funds

Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) acknowledged that two individuals have been named suspects in the alleged corruption case involving the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of Bank Indonesia (BI). According to KPK’s Deputy for Enforcement, Rudi Setiawan, both of them have been designated as suspects for several months now.

“There are several suspects that we have identified, while two people are indeed related to this case,” said Rudi to the media at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/17/2024).

However, Rudi is still reluctant to reveal their identities. However, regarding their roles, Rudi stated that they are the recipients of BI’s CSR funds.

“They are suspected of obtaining funds from the CSR of Bank Indonesia,” he explained.

Rudi added that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also raided the Bank Indonesia (BI) office on Monday (12/16/2024). He acknowledged that several pieces of evidence were secured, allegedly related to the corruption case involving Bank Indonesia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.

“There are several rooms that we entered and several that we obtained,” explained Rudi.

Inspection Conducted

Rudi ensured that the seized items would be further clarified with the relevant parties for investigation.

“Of course, the items we obtain will be clarified later.” Therefore, anyone related to our findings will be investigated,” Rudi concluded.

Previously reported, on December 16, 2024, around 7:00 PM, the KPK searched the Bank Indonesia (BI) office on Jalan Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

It is known that the search aims to uncover criminal cases related to the CSR of Bank Indonesia.
