Harvey Moeis Clarifies He Never Enjoyed the Rp300 Trillion After Being Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison by the Prosecutor’s Office

Jakarta One of the defendants in the tin corruption case, Harvey Moeis, who acted as an intermediary for PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT), admitted that he never had, saw, or enjoyed the Rp300 trillion in corruption proceeds.

This was conveyed by Sandra Dewi’s husband when reading the plea or defense note in the follow-up trial held at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (12/18/2024).

Openly, Harvey Moeis questioned the calculations of the experts from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency when discussing the state’s losses due to the tin corruption case, which later became a national issue.

“That figure is 10 percent of our State Budget (APBN) perhaps.” So I would like to clarify to the Indonesian public that we have never enjoyed such an amount of money,” he said.

Unprofessional Attitude

Antara reported on Wednesday (12/18/2024) that Harvey Moeis then mentioned the unprofessional behavior of several parties during the trial of the tin corruption case. This was directed at the expert witness.

“The unprofessional attitude in question, among other things, is reflected in the expert testimony that begins with a sentence showing indifference to the conditions of illegal mining in Bangka Belitung,” Harvey Moeis continued.
