Jakarta – The management of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) or Sritex has filed a judicial review (PK) after the Supreme Court (MA) rejected the cassation request regarding the bankruptcy ruling issued by the Semarang Commercial Court.
The decision to reject Sritex’s cassation with Case Number: 1345 K/PDT.SUS-PAILIT 2024 was read by Chief Justice Hamdi and two members, namely Justices Nani Indrawati and Lucas Prakoso, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
“We are taking this legal action so that we can maintain the continuity of our business and provide jobs for 50 thousand employees who have worked with us for decades.” “This legal step we are taking is not solely for the benefit of the company but also to carry the aspirations of the entire Sritex family,” said the President Director of Sri Rejeki Isman, Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto, commonly known as Wawan, on Friday (20/12/2024).
During the process of filing a cassation to the Supreme Court, Sritex has made various efforts to maintain its business and has not conducted layoffs, as per the government’s message. The company is making every effort to maintain a conducive company situation amidst various movement restrictions due to its bankruptcy status.
“Our efforts are not easy, as we are racing against time and facing limited resources.” The choice to pursue further legal efforts in the form of a judicial review was made so that the large Sritex family can continue to work, survive, and support their families amidst the current difficult economic situation,” said Wawan.
“We hope the government provides legal justice that considers humanity, by supporting our efforts to continue our business activities and contribute to the advancement of the national textile industry,” concluded Wawan.
