Ridwan Kamil Reveals Steps After Losing the Jakarta Pilkada, Will He Work Abroad?

Jakarta – Ridwan Kamil (RK) considers winning and losing in contests or competitions to be normal. For him, anyone who is ready to win must also be ready to lose.

He said, defeat is not the end of everything. The man affectionately known as Kang Emil assured that he will continue to create as a form of devotion to the nation and the country.

“If you are already contesting, you must be ready to win, you must be ready to lose, and losing is not the end of everything.” “Sometimes there are things that will later be replaced by better things,” said RK in his statement, quoted on Thursday (19/12/2024).

The former Mayor of Bandung stated that he is always optimistic in addressing various matters, including democracy and politics in Indonesia. He believes that Indonesian democracy will continue to develop and improve in the future.

“The important thing is that Indonesia progresses, remains peaceful, and its democracy improves.” I entered politics because I want to build a better democracy. Hopefully, in the future, our democracy will be even better,” he said.

He admitted to having three dimensions in living his life, including the academic dimension, the business dimension, and the political dimension. The Jakarta gubernatorial election is a manifestation of his efforts in the political dimension.

After the Jakarta 2024 Pilkada, Ridwan Kamil mentioned that he would spend a lot of his time in two other dimensions. In the academic dimension, he received an offer to teach abroad.

“My life has three dimensions.” There is a political dimension, an academic dimension, and a business dimension. When the political dimension is over, I will focus on the other two dimensions. Academic dimension, teaching again, there are also offers abroad. Business dimension, there is a coffee business, there are various kinds of businesses,” he explained.

He is very grateful because he has received many opportunities to contribute and dedicate himself in various fields. The former Governor of West Java is happy to be useful and to continue benefiting others.
