Jakarta The Central Leadership Council of PDI Perjuangan has detected parties attempting to meddle with the internal affairs of the party and the PDIP Congress.
The Chairman of the PDIP DPP for National Legal System Reform, Ronny Talapessy, said that the efforts have already begun with the emergence of several billboards and banners containing attacks on his party and the General Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri.
“With the circulation of billboards and banners that are inciting in nature, a condition of alert 1 has been created within the internal PDI Perjuangan to react to the attempt to ‘interfere with PDI Perjuangan ahead of the PDI Perjuangan Congress as stated by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri,” said Ronny at a press conference at the DPP PDIP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta, Thursday night (19/12/2024).
Ronny also said that billboards, banners, and attacks against the General Chairperson Megawati made all PDIP cadres angry. “Thus triggering the anger of party members and cadres throughout Indonesia,” Ronny emphasized.
Ronny reminded that PDIP is a legitimate political party according to notarial deed Number 05 dated June 27, 2024, and has been ratified through a Decree from the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number: M.HH-05.11.02 Year 2024, dated July 1, 2024, regarding the Ratification of Changes in Structure, Composition, and Personnel of the Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle for the 2019-2024 Term Extended Until 2025.
“This legitimacy is indisputable and serves as a strong foundation for PDI Perjuangan in carrying out its political duties,” said Ronny.
He also explained that if the extension of the term of the Central Leadership Council of PDI Perjuangan has been carried out in accordance with Article 28 of the Party’s Statutes and Article 15 of the Party’s Bylaws, the extension of the term of office becomes the prerogative authority of the General Chairperson mandated by the Party Congress and established in the V National Working Meeting of PDI Perjuangan in 2024.
In that press conference, the DPP PDIP also showed video clips of several ranks of DPC and DPD Party officials declaring their solidarity and readiness to fight against anyone who dares to attack Megawati and this party with the white-nosed bull emblem.
PDIP Ready to Fight Anyone Who Disturbs the Party’s Sovereignty
PDIP declared its readiness to fight against parties that attempt to disrupt the party symbolized by the bull. The white-nosed bull party guarantees that it will not remain silent in the face of attempts to disrupt the party’s sovereignty.
“That has already been demonstrated by the party’s structure in various regions in Indonesia, that PDI Perjuangan is ready to fight anyone who dares to disturb the tranquility of PDI Perjuangan in contributing to the nation’s development,” said the Chairman of the DPP PDIP Executive Election Victory Division, Deddy Sitorus, at the DPP PDIP office, Jakarta, Thursday (19/12/2024).
Deddy conveyed that PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri thanked the party ranks for their readiness to fight anyone who dares to disturb her party.
“In our opinion, those are indications of an attack against PDI Perjuangan,” said Deddy.
Deddy then mentioned the banners that attack the honor and authority of the party, which are installed in strategic areas, even in the second ring, such as Kuningan and Rasuna Said. According to him, it is very strange if the police cannot identify the banner installers.
“Because there are CCTV cameras everywhere and those areas should always be sterile areas because there are many embassies and so on,” he said.
Megawati Kisses There are parties that want to disrupt the PDIP Congress.
Previously, PDIP Chairperson Megawati Soekarnoputri sensed signs from certain parties that they would disrupt the PDIP congress in 2025.
