JakartaThe 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), responded to the label of the most corrupt leader released by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).
Corrupted? Corrupted by what? What was corrupted?” said Jokowi in Solo, Central Java, Tuesday (31/12/2024), as reported by Antara.
He asked those who called him the most corrupt leader to prove it.
“Yes, it has been proven, right,” said Jokowi.
The former mayor of Solo admitted that there are currently many slanders directed at him.
“Now there are so many slanders, so much evil framing, so many accusations without any evidence.” That’s what’s happening now, right? said Jokowi.
When asked about the political motives behind the nomination of the most corrupt leader, he laughed at the journalist.
“Just ask him.” People can use any vehicle, they can use an NGO, they can use a party,” said Jokowi.
The father of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka stated that certain parties could exploit community organizations to throw such accusations.
“You can use mass organizations to accuse, to create evil framing, to make such evil accusations,” said Jokowi.
