Hasto Kristiyanto Canceled His Attendance at the Examination, KPK: There is Already a Permission Letter to the Investigators

Jakarta – Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tessa Mahardika confirmed the information regarding the cancellation of the examination of PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect in the bribery case involving fugitive Harun Masiku. According to Tessa, this was confirmed by information from the investigators who reported the existence of a permit letter from the relevant parties.

“The investigator informed that Mr. HK (Hasto Kristiyanto) sent a notice of absence due to an unavoidable commitment,” Tessa told the media on Monday (6/1/2025).

Tessa assured that the KPK will reschedule the examination of Hasto in accordance with the applicable regulations. “Next, the investigator will reschedule the summons for the individual concerned,” she explained.

However, regarding the exact schedule, Tessa has not been able to confirm it because it is the authority of the investigator. “The rescheduled date will be communicated later by the investigator,” Tessa emphasized.

Previously reported, the KPK scheduled to interrogate PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect today, Monday (6/1/2025).

However, when confirmed separately, the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Law Division, Ronny Talapessy, assured that Hasto would be absent. This is because there is a previously scheduled agenda to commemorate the party’s anniversary.

“We request a rescheduling of that matter,” Ronny asked.

Ronny also requested that the rescheduling for Hasto be done after January 10, 2025. This is not intended to evade or disobey, but solely due to preparations for the party event.

“Please reschedule the summons for after January 10, 2025.” Once again, we emphasize that PDI Perjuangan is a party that obeys and respects the law. Therefore, we certainly leave this matter entirely to the KPK,” emphasized Ronny.
