2 Police Officers Accused of Extorting DWP Spectators Face Ethical Trial Today

DIVISION The Propam Division of the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) is holding a Polri Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) trial today against two members who are suspected of extorting concertgoers at the Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP). The ethics trial was held at the TNCC Building, Mabes Polri, South Jakarta.

“Yes (today) there are two people,” said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago, when confirmed on Tuesday, (7/1).

Member of the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) Mohammad Choirul Anam, who directly monitored the ethics trial, also confirmed that two police officers were being tried today. Both hold the ranks of Brigadier and Bripka.

“The initials are Brigadier DW and Brigadier RP,” Anam said when confirmed separately.

Based on the list of 34 police officers transferred by Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Karyoto, Brigadier DW is Dwi Wicaksono and Bripka RP is Ready Pratama. Both held the position of Non-Commissioned Officer in the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police at the time the alleged extortion incident occurred.

They were transferred due to alleged extortion. Now they have become Non-Commissioned Officers in the Yanma Polda Metro Jaya.
