KPK Search the House of PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto, Related to the Alleged Bribery Case of Harun Masiku

Jakarta – Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Tessa Mahardika, confirmed that KPK investigators are conducting a search at the residence of the Secretary-General of PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto, who is already a suspect.

According to KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardika, the search was conducted in connection with the alleged bribery case involving fugitive Harun Masiku.

“Currently, there is an ongoing search being conducted by investigators for the case involving the suspect HK (Hasto Kristiyanto),” said Tessa in a brief message received on Tuesday (7/1/2025).

However, Tessa has not detailed what evidence was found by KPK investigators at Hasto’s residence. She assured that this will be revealed once the search is complete.

“For further developments, it will be communicated once the activities are completed,” he concluded.

It is known that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has officially named Hasto Kristiyanto (HK), the Secretary-General of PDIP, as a suspect in the alleged bribery case of the Interim Replacement (PAW) of former PDIP legislative candidate, Harun Masiku. The designation of Hasto as a suspect was announced on December 24, 2024, on Christmas Eve.

“The investigators found evidence of the involvement of Mr. HK, who is the Secretary-General of PDI Perjuangan, and Mr. DTI, who is Mr. HK’s trusted confidant,” said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto while announcing Hasto’s legal status as a suspect at the KPK Building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 24, 2024.

According to him, Hasto was involved in an effort to give gifts or promises to Wahyu Setiawan, a member of the General Election Commission (KPU), together with Agustiani Tio F, related to the determination of the elected members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2019-2024 period.
