Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) dismissed allegations that it dramatized the investigation into the alleged corruption case involving bribery and obstruction of justice against the Secretary-General of the DPP PDI Perjuangan, Hasto Kristiyanto.
“So, we never had the investigators, for example, dramatizing everything.” Even if they are present or come to a closed place or anywhere else in the context of a search,” said KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur Rahayu as reported by Antara.
Asep said that the search activities were aimed at fulfilling the completeness of the evidence. KPK investigators conducted searches of two houses belonging to Hasto as part of the evidence collection process.
The one-star police officer said that the two locations are suspected of storing evidence related to the case involving Hasto.
“So we had to make a forced effort there, a search, in order to find and uncover that evidence.” So, it’s not in the context of, for example, going to his house in Bekasi to dramatize or then Kebagusan, no!” he said.
Asep also dismissed the accusation that the summons of witnesses in the Hasto case was an attempt to dramatize the investigation of the Hasto case.
“We are in the process of searching for or summoning someone, for example, summoning A or B, not to dramatize, but we need their testimony to prove or complete the elements of the article that are being alleged against them,” he said.
