Jakarta – Gunung Ibu erupted again on Friday (10/1/2025) at 12:35 WIT. The report from the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) stated that the eruption column height of Gunung Ibu was observed to reach 3,000 meters above the summit, or approximately 4,325 meters above sea level.
The ash column from the Ibu Volcano eruption was observed to be gray with thick intensity towards the west. The eruption was recorded on the seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 28 mm and a duration of 145 seconds.
The community and tourists around Mount Ibu are prohibited from activities within a radius of 3 km and a sectoral extension of 5 km towards the crater opening on the northern part of the active crater of Mount Ibu.
If there is ash rain, people who are active outside the house are advised to use nose and mouth protection (mask) and eye protection (glasses).

All parties are urged to maintain a conducive atmosphere in the community, not to spread false narratives or hoaxes, and not to be provoked by issues with unclear sources. The public is urged to always follow the guidance from the Regional Government.
Gunung Ibu has recorded 66 eruptions at the beginning of 2025. Until today, Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:53 AM WIB, Gunung Ibu is still on Alert status (Level III).
