Jakarta -Amid his status as a suspect in the corruption case and obstruction of the investigation of Harun Masiku, PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto actually entrusted his secret documents to Russia. This made the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) feel puzzled and regretful about the decision.
“Actually, if it is indeed a document related to the case we are handling, just bring it here,” said the Director of Investigation at the KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, at the KPK office, Thursday, (1/9/2025).
Asep emphasized that the document, if indeed related to the Hasto case, could assist the KPK in uncovering the corruption case and the search for Harun Masiku.
“We never justify someone as guilty even if they have been designated as a suspect in a corruption case,” Asep added.
“That proof still needs to be tested again in court.” If you have, for example, documents to challenge, bring them, show us that the documents are not correct. “This is the evidence,” he continued.
The secret document belonging to Hasto was entrusted to Connie Rahakundini Bakire and contained information related to Hasto’s designation as a suspect in the case of fugitive former PDIP candidate, Harun Masiku.
This document is said to contain a major scandal case involving state officials, but the identities of these officials are not explained in detail.
