The Constitutional Court (MK) held a follow-up hearing on the dispute over the results of the 2024 regional head elections (PHPU Pilkada). On Wednesday (15/1), the Constitutional Court (MK) held a hearing on the regional election dispute, including the regional election in the Province of Papua Pegunungan with petitioners Befa Yigibalom and Natan Pahabol. Then, from the Province of Papua Pegunungan, there is also a lawsuit from the petitioner named Delpedro Marhaen Rismansah.In addition, there is also a dispute lawsuit regarding the Papua Provincial Election with the petitioners Matius Fakhiri and Aryoko Roberto Ferdinand Rumaropen.
Quoted from the MK website, today, the Panel I Judges will examine 15 disputed cases. Then, Panel II will examine 22 cases and Panel III will examine 15 cases. The cases being heard are dominated by PHPU at the district or city level, but there are 3 provincial-level dispute cases.
In total, the Constitutional Court will examine three provincial-level regional election cases, 46 district-level cases, and three city-level regional election cases.The Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Constitutional Court, Pan Mohamad Faiz, stated that they have adjudicated 228 PKPU Pilkada cases as of Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
“There have been 228 regional head election disputes adjudicated in the Preliminary Hearing at the Constitutional Court,” he said when confirmed on Wednesday (15/1).
The trial for the 2024 Pilkada PHPU case has been held since Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The series of hearings is scheduled to end on March 13, 2025.
It is known that the composition for examining the PHPU Pilkada 2024 cases is the same as the composition during the legislative election (pileg) disputes. The cases that will be tried will be divided into three-judge panels.
The division of the panel is as follows:
- Panel I consists of Suhartoyo as the panel chair, accompanied by Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh and M. Guntur Hamzah as panel members.
- Panel II consists of Saldi Isra as the panel chair, accompanied by Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani as panel members.
- Panel III consists of Arief Hidayat as the panel chair, accompanied by Anwar Usman and Enny Nurbaningsih as panel members.
