Liputan6.com, Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto responded to various expressions of gratitude from students who received the Free Nutritious Meal program. For him, it is a duty as the head of state, so there is no need for such expressions.
“I ask all the teachers for help.” I greatly appreciate it, but it’s not necessary, don’t thank Mr. Prabowo. “This is my duty as President,” said Prabowo in Sumedang, West Java, Monday (20/1/2025).
He asked all students to respect their teachers and parents. Including focusing on studying well to achieve success in the future.
“We are not here for fame.” What we want is the best for the Indonesian nation,” he explained.
“So I don’t need it anymore.” I thank you. Don’t thank Prabowo Subianto. This is our duty. We were chosen by the Indonesian people to work for the people,” Prabowo continued.
Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, said that President Prabowo Subianto is concerned that many Indonesian children have not yet received the free nutritious meal program (MBG). Prabowo targets 82.9 million beneficiaries to receive the free nutritious meal program (MBG) by the end of 2025.
“Why is the President restless?” Because many children have not yet received (MBG). That means he is considering accelerating this process, so that by the end of 2025, those 82.9 million can immediately benefit,” explained Dadan after a meeting with Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday (17/1/2025).\
Accelerate the MBG Program
Dadan conveyed that Prabowo wants the program to be enjoyed immediately by all beneficiaries, namely children, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers.
Dadan mentioned that Prabowo received reports from children who complained to their mothers that they had not yet received MBG.
“One thing that makes the President want to expedite the process is because he is very concerned about the demands of children who have not yet received nutritious food,” said Dadan.
“Because there are many reports, many children are telling their parents.” Even those who are only 5 years old said, ‘Mom, why haven’t I been fed by Mr. Prabowo while my friends have already been fed?’. So this is something that disturbs his heart,” Dadan continued.
