Mardani PKS Asks Anies Baswedan Not to Form a Political Party, Why?

Jakarta -PKS politician Mardani Ali Sera met with former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan some time ago. Mardani admitted that the meeting also discussed the 100 days of performance of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration, as well as Anies’ future plans.

“It’s been a long time since we last met, secondly, Mas Anies invited us for a meal.” The third, he saw that we need to continue to maintain Indonesia, one of the discussions that day, we read in the newspaper that 80 percent of the satisfaction level with Mr. Prabowo makes us proud,” said Mardani at the Senayan parliamentary complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (21/1/2025).

According to Mardani, the current political climate is good because there is no longer any mutual attacks among competitors in the presidential election.

“But Mas Anies conveyed that one of the reasons is that there is no division, there are no competitors like Pak Prabowo, Mas Anies, or Ganjar, who invite their supporters to attack. There is none.” This is a form of good competition. After the competition, we move forward together,” he said.

Additionally, at the meeting, Mardani also requested that Anies not form a political party.

“Well, the second one is of course, how about you in the future?” It seems he wants to form an association to maintain good relations. “If I may suggest, please don’t form a political party, haha,” said Mardani.

Because, according to Mardani, Anies has many political opportunities due to the removal of the 20 percent presidential nomination threshold.

“The Constitutional Court’s decision allows all political parties participating in the election to submit candidates, and many will invite Mas Anies due to mutualistic symbiosis.” The smaller parties or those that haven’t yet want to get a figure, they definitely want to get a ticket,” he concluded.
