Jakarta -The Indonesian Navy (AL) deployed three amphibious tank units for the operation to dismantle the sea fence in the northern waters of Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Wednesday (22/1/2025).
It has been observed that three units of amphibious vehicles have been parked by the seaside at the TNI AL Post in Tanjung Pasir, Teluknaga District, Tangerang Regency, since 06:00 AM WIB.
Complete with hundreds of Navy personnel, they are preparing to go to the sea fence location to carry out the demolition. Not only amphibious tank units, dozens of speedboats belonging to the Indonesian Navy and the Maritime Security Agency were also deployed.
It is hoped that with the deployment of various modern tools, the demolition process can be made easier. Because previously, the demolition carried out by the Indonesian Navy relied solely on manual labor.
They first removed the cloth and hooks from the bamboo. Then, either the fishermen or the TNI members, using life jackets, dive into the sea to tie the ropes to each bamboo.
Then, the fishermen or other members of the Navy on the boat immediately pulled to remove it. It is estimated that the 6-meter-high bamboo is embedded 1 to 1.5 meters in the seabed, which is the difficulty in pulling out the bamboo.
“For now, we tie it up and then tow it with a fishing boat, so far it has been running smoothly.” “Because the condition has been like this for several months, there are difficulties because it has been a long time, and it is also shallow, so the towing means cannot be large,” said the Chief of Naval Staff, First Admiral TNI I Made Wira Hadi Arsanta some time ago.
