RENDANG Padang, the signature dish of the Minangkabau region, is becoming increasingly popular worldwide. In fact, rendang has already traveled the world to several countries.
The head of Golden Catering, Harti Ningsih, mentioned that Padang Rendang spices are widely exported to other countries. One of them is Norway. Golden Catering, as an MSME engaged in rendang production, will supply rendang to that country.
“Our rendang spices are supplied to Norway,” he said on Thursday (1/16).
It was admitted that rendang spices will be supplied to Norway in large quantities. As much as 1 ton of rendang spices is ready to fly to that country.
“One ton of rendang spices will be delivered next month,” he said.
Harti said that his side had previously sent rendang spices to that country. Moreover, the demand is quite high in that country.
“We hope that the supply of rendang spices can continue, so that it will invigorate the economy, especially for existing MSMEs,” he explained.
He hopes for support from many parties so that Rendang Padang continues to gain worldwide recognition. Especially support from the city government. Especially now, in Padang, there is a Rendang Center that will assist rendang SMEs in their production.
It is known that Golden Catering, which will supply rendang spices to Norway, is a small and medium-sized enterprise supported by the local government. Golden Catering has a small industry under the label Ratu Rendang. Golden Catering is located at Simpang Pondok Kopi, Siteba, Padang.
