Jakarta – Famous lawyer Hotman Paris appeared at the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) today, Monday (17/2/2025). He came to fulfill the summons as a witness regarding the commotion that occurred at the North Jakarta District Court.
This examination follows the North Jakarta District Court (PN Jakut) reporting lawyer Razman Arif Nasution and his associates (dkk) to the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri). The report from the North Jakarta District Court against Razman and his associates is registered under the number STTL/70/II/2025/Bareskrim Polri dated Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Hotman said he was present to undergo questioning as a witness regarding the report from the Chief Justice of the North Jakarta District Court against Razman Nasution and his associates.
“I am just a witness, so I am only recounting what I saw and experienced in the trial, which is clearly the first case in the history of the Indonesian judiciary,” he told reporters on Monday (February 17, 2025).
In this case, Hotman said, Razman is suspected of violating Articles 207 of the Criminal Code, 217 of the Criminal Code, and 335 of the Criminal Code.
This is related to Razman’s behavior in the courtroom. Also, the behavior of Firdaus Oiwobo’s lawyer who climbed onto the table in the courtroom, as well as the mothers who were considered to have caused a commotion in the courtroom.
“That’s roughly the gist of it.” The chronology has already been seen like that. If the first to third hearings were open sessions, but when it was my turn as a witness, it had to be part of the evidence presentation. According to the law, if the material is about morality, it must be closed. As soon as the judge bangs the gavel for a closed session, he gets angry,” he said.
“Because he has brought so many TikToks and the like, he might want to show off at the fashion show and so on in court, even though I’m way more handsome,” he continued.
Hotman also responded to Razman’s apology. He believes that it cannot affect the ongoing legal process.
“How can the dignity of the court be so insulted, let the legal process run its course, I am sure that soon Razman and Firdaus and others will become suspects,” he said.
