Jakarta – Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman highlighted the high price of the simple packaged cooking oil, Minyakita. He asked the food task force (Satgas) to monitor the highest retail price (HET) in the field.
He admitted to finding an increase in the price of Minyakita in several areas. In addition, the price of granulated sugar has also been observed to rise.
“Cooking oil, granulated sugar, there has been a price increase,” said Minister Amran Sulaiman at the Ministry of Agriculture Office, Jakarta, Monday (17/2/2025).
The National Food Agency (Bapanas) recorded the national average price of Minyakita at around Rp 17,000-18,000 per liter. However, the HET has been set at Rp 15,700 per liter.
He ordered the Food Task Force to go into the field. The goal is to monitor the implementation of the HET Minyakita in the market down to the village level.
“The food task force is still there.” There is a food task force, we have communicated, please monitor down to the village level,” he emphasized.

He reiterated that the HET Minyakita has been implemented by the Ministry of Trade and needs to be enforced at the consumer level. Minister Amran also warned the entrepreneurs.
“Today, the important decision is that the price of cooking oil (Minyakita) HET is Rp 15,700 (per liter).” To my brothers, my friends, all entrepreneurs, please comply with the HET set by the government. “Because we are monitoring an upward price movement,” revealed Amran, who is currently serving as the Acting Minister of Food Coordination.
“We must comply.” We want in the holy month of Ramadan, for all those who fast, to carry out their fasting rituals, to smile because prices are stable and hopefully lower than last year’s prices,” added Amran.
