The Reason Vadel Badjideh’s Camp Filed a Request for Detention Suspension, Following the Lolly Case

Jakarta Vadel Badjideh filed a request for a suspension of detention after being named a suspect in a case of alleged statutory rape and abortion involving the victim Lolly. Currently, Vadel is being held at the South Jakarta Metro Police.
This is the aftermath of Nikita Mirzani’s report to the South Jakarta Metro Police last year. Rahmat Riadi, the legal counsel for Vadel Badjideh, submitted the request for suspension of detention on February 16, 2025. Meanwhile, they are still waiting for a response to the request.

“The detention suspension is still in process, and the letter has been submitted to the police chief.” We’ll wait. “For the one who guarantees that is Mr. Umar, his father,” said Rahmat Riadi at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday (18/2/2025).

Usually, it takes at least one day, but normally around 3-5 days to respond. It depends on the busy schedule of the police chief. Because the letter initially goes to the general section first before it reaches the Chief of Police’s desk,” Rahmat Riadi added.

Still a Teenager, Still Young

Rahmat revealed the considerations underlying the request for a detention suspension. In addition to Vadel being young and expected to complete his college education, Vadel’s mother is currently sick and misses her son.
“Vadel is still a teenager, still young.” It means he is expected to be able to finish his studies. Second, the condition of Vadel’s biological mother. His mother has been ill for several days and misses Vadel very much,” he revealed.
