Jakarta – Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno departed for Magelang to attend the regional heads’ retreat on Wednesday (26/2/2025) evening.
“Tonight, at seven o’clock, I will leave for Yogyakarta and head straight to Magelang to attend a retreat,” said Rano in Jakarta, quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, has arrived at the location of the regional heads’ retreat at the Military Academy (Akmil), Magelang, Central Java on Monday (24/2).
It is known that the Retreat began on Friday, February 21, 2025, attended by 503 regional heads from across Indonesia, including governors, mayors, and regents, who were newly inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto simultaneously on Thursday (February 20).

However, on Thursday night, the Chairperson of the PDI Perjuangan party, Megawati Soekarnoputri, issued an instruction letter signed directly by her.
Through that letter, Megawati requested that all PDI Perjuangan cadres who are regional heads postpone their trip to Akmil Magelang.
As a result, not all PDIP cadres who hold regional leadership positions attended the Akmil Magelang on Friday (21/2), but on Monday (24/2) afternoon, some names still chose to attend the retreat.
Previously, Rano Karno also responded to the closing ceremony of the retreat that invited regional deputy heads to come to Magelang on February 27.
Rano said that the Ministry of Home Affairs indeed invited him.
“I was indeed invited on the 27th (of February).” Remember, the representatives are invited on the 27th only for the closing,” said Rano.
