Jakarta – Ciledug Indah Housing in Ciledug District, Tangerang City, has become the settlement most severely affected by the flood due to the overflow of Kali Angke since early Tuesday (March 4, 2025).
Based on data from the BPBD Kota Tangerang, Ciledug Indah has become the worst-hit area with water levels reaching 30 to 50 cm. Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the Tangerang City BPBD, Andia S Rahman, said that as of this morning, residents still chose to stay in their own homes or take shelter at their neighbors’ houses.

“Currently, 85 BPBD officers have been deployed to all inundation and flood points since last night.” It was recorded that last night there were 13 points of inundation and flooding, but this morning they have receded and by 09:00 WIB only five affected points remain in the Ciledug area,” he stated.
For now, officers are stationed in the eastern region, namely Ciledug, Pinang, and Larangan, bringing evacuation boats in case they are needed for the evacuation process. Among them, the areas of Ciledug Indah Housing Complex, Jalan Taman Asri Block M Larangan, Jalan Gempol Kunciran, Jalan Teman Larangan Utara, and Pinang Griya Housing Complex.
“Based on BMKG data, the rain last night was truly widespread in the Jabodetabek area.” So, in the city of Tangerang, there were water queues and on the Kali Angke route, there was an influx from Bogor,” he said.
These two conditions are what caused the Ciledug area and several eastern regions to overflow this morning. Therefore, the areas to pay attention to for the next two days are the Cisadane River and Kali Angke.
Residents Hold Out at Home
Until now, all field conditions are monitored to be safe and under control in the handling by all joint officers. Starting from the BPBD, which focuses on the rescue and safety of the community, the Transportation Department with traffic in flood-affected areas, the Public Works Department, the Environmental Agency, and the regional offices focusing on cleaning or normalizing drainage to ensure smooth water flow and quick receding.
“There have been no evacuations so far, as the entire community still chooses to stay in their respective homes.” However, joint officers have set up Health Posts from the Health Department to Evacuation Posts and logistical assistance from the Social Services Department if needed in the field,” he explained.
