Launched by Prabowo, Regional ASN Teacher Allowances Sent Directly to Accounts

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto launched a new mechanism for regional civil servant (ASN) teacher allowances. The allowances for teachers, which were previously distributed by the regional government, are now directly sent to the teachers’ accounts by the Ministry of Finance.
“With the utterance of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim on Thursday, March 13, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, have the honor of launching a new mechanism for the direct disbursement of regional ASN teacher allowances to teachers’ accounts,” said Prabowo during the launch at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (March 13, 2025).

Prabowo praised the new mechanism for distributing allowances to ASN teachers directly into their respective accounts. In this way, the community can use the money provided for their needs.
“A mechanism like this is what is needed.” “Service must be fast, the people’s money must be used wisely,” said Prabowo.

Previously, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti stated that the government, through the Ministry of Finance, will directly transfer teacher allowances to individual personal accounts, without being transferred through local governments, as is currently implemented.
“We will have a direct transfer of teacher allowances.” Which has so far gone through the regional government accounts, will later be transferred directly to the teachers’ accounts without going through the regional government, directly from the Ministry of Finance,” said Abdul Mu’ti in a stop interview at the Jakarta Presidential Palace, Monday (10/3/2025).

Mu’ti said that his side has discussed the technical aspects of the regulation with the Presidential Staff Office (KSP). The regulation or legal framework that confirms the transfer of teacher allowances to teachers’ personal accounts, Mu’ti said, is also complete.
Currently, the Ministry of Education and Culture is in the process of collecting teachers’ bank accounts to ensure the smooth distribution of allowances.
