Dedi Mulyadi Accelerates Vehicle Tax Arrears Waiver Program, Starting Today Thursday, March 20, 2025

Bandung – West Java Governor, Dedi Mulyadi, is accelerating the program to waive motor vehicle tax arrears (PKB), both for car and motorcycle owners.
Originally scheduled to start on April 11 and end on June 6, 2025, it has now been expedited to Thursday, March 20, 2025. Thus, the public only needs to pay the 2025 tax, without having to settle any previous arrears or vehicle tax fines.
“Initially, we were going to open the service for extending the STNK for those who are overdue on their taxes from April 11 to June 6, 2025.” But, I want all the people of West Java to be at ease during Eid, with their vehicles’ registration and taxes fully paid. For that reason, we are moving it, starting from Thursday, March 20, 2025, until June 6, 2025,” said Dedi in a video uploaded to the Instagram account @dedimulyadi71, quoted on Thursday (March 20, 2025).

Dedi explained that the removal of the vehicle tax arrears applies to all vehicles that have been in arrears since 2024 and earlier.
“Specifically for West Java residents who today have outstanding motor vehicle tax debts from 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and so on back to the past, I reiterate that the West Java Provincial Government forgives and waives all their tax arrears and fines,” he emphasized.
Dedi reminded that after the grace period for tax waiver ends, vehicles that have not paid their taxes will not be allowed to pass on the highways, whether at the city/district level or provincial roads.
“Next, remember, those who don’t pay taxes even though we have given them a chance to correct their mistakes, won’t be able to drive their cars or motorcycles on the county roads, on the roads of West Java Province.” Come on, where do you want to pass through,” he said.
On the other hand, this program is supported by various digital services such as E-Samsat, the Sambara application through Jabar Apps Sapawarga, as well as the Samsat Keliling service, Samsat Masuk Desa, Samsat Digital Leuwipanjang, Samsat Outlet, Samsat Gendong, Samsat Drive Thru, and BUMDes.
With this policy, the community is expected to take advantage of the opportunity to eliminate motor vehicle tax arrears and contribute to regional development through timely tax payments.
