Baim Wong Submits 36-Page Appeal Memo Regarding Divorce Decision with Paula Verhoeven

Jakarta Paula Verhoeven and Baim Wong both filed an appeal against their divorce decision. Baim’s party filed an appeal on April 29, 2025 via e-court.

In this case, Baim Wong is the respondent or second appellant. Meanwhile, Paula Verhoeven is the first appellant because she registered her appeal earlier.

“I have indeed received the appeal memo from the first appellant, and we are the respondent. Because our appeal was on the 29th, we are the second appellant,” said Fahmi Bachmid, Baim Wong’s attorney, when met in the Antasari area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/5/2025).

“So both have appealed. The defendant at the time of case 3477 filed an appeal on the 28th so that it was categorized as the applicant

Child Safety

Fahmi said that the appeal filed by his party was for reasons of child safety. However, he was reluctant to reveal the contents of the lawsuit in detail.

“Both parties have filed an appeal and our reason is the most crucial reason, namely regarding the safety of children. The content is our objection to the decision. If it is not good for us to convey the details,” said Fahmi.

36 Pages

Fahmi admitted that the appeal memorandum filed by his party was 36 pages thick and had been submitted to the South Jakarta Religious Court, both physically and e-court. In addition, his party also had the right to submit a counter-appeal memorandum.

“We are also given the right to submit a counter-appeal memorandum. God willing, immediately this week or at the latest next week I have submitted the counter-appeal memorandum,” he explained.
