The Chairperson of the Gerindra Faction of the DKI Jakarta Regional People’s Representative Council, Rani Mauliani, confirmed that the letter of support from President Prabowo Subianto to the Jakarta Governor and Deputy Governor candidates Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, which was uploaded by Raffi Ahmad, is authentic.
She explained that the letter was for all Gerindra cadres in DKI Jakarta to be united in supporting Ridwan Kamil-Suswono. “Yes, that is indeed a letter from Mr. Prabowo as the Chairman of the Gerindra Party, so that all Gerindra cadres in DKI Jakarta remain united in supporting his chosen governor, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono, for a New Jakarta, an Advanced Jakarta, and Jakarta to become a global city for Indonesia,” Rani said when contacted on Tuesday, (26/11/2024).
When asked about the letter being posted during the quiet period before the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election, Rani mentioned that the letter of support was made before Prabowo undertook a state visit.
“In my opinion, it is possible that the letter was made before he undertook a state duty trip. It might have become a sensation because some people only learned about the letter when the quiet period began, and it was utilized by the public as a source of motivation leading up to the election,” added Rani.

Meanwhile, the Winning Team of the Jakarta Governor-Deputy Governor Candidate Pair Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) held a joint prayer titled ‘Peaceful 2024 Elections’.
The prayer session was attended by the cadres of the Coalition for an Advanced Indonesia (KIM) Plus at the Jakarta Golkar DPD, on Monday (25/11/2024).
The Secretary of the RIDO Winning Team, Basri Baco, said that the joint prayer was held with the aim of filling the quiet period of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada with positive activities. Considering that all cadres have worked hard during the campaign period.
“Yes, the point is that we want this quiet period to be filled with positive things but without violating the regulations, so instead of putting up billboards, we gather to recite tahlil and tahmid together with the cadres and supporters while praying for a safe and peaceful campaign, God willing,” said Baco.
The Secretary of the Jakarta DPD Golkar mentioned that this joint prayer was attended by more than 1,000 cadres from the KIM Plus party.
“This is a prayer event from cadres for cadres, totaling more than 1,000 people from KIM Plus,” he said.
On the same occasion, the Deputy Chairman of the Jakarta DPD Golkar, M Ashraf Ali, stated that this joint prayer was held as a form of gratitude from the RIDO Winning Team for having passed several stages of the campaign. According to him, all parties involved have completed their tasks well.
