Chairman of the DPP PDIP Deddy Sitorus hopes that the public will not be tempted by offers of money politics ahead of the 2024 Pilkada elections.
“We can only urge the people to maintain their common sense and conscience at a time when the ‘state’ has betrayed the constitution,” said Deddy to Liputan6.com, Tuesday (26/11/2024).

Deddy mentioned that there is already a lot of evidence of officials and ASN being involved in the campaign, and he deeply regrets that Bawaslu has not been able to do much to take action.
When law enforcement and ASN are involved, the election supervisors are powerless and Gakumdu is asleep.”Who else can we expect to uphold the rules and laws?” said Deddy.
According to Deddy, money politics will only lead to the decline of democracy and elections.
“It will cause social conflict and violence if left unchecked. In the long run, it will damage democracy and elections,” he concluded.
