Jakarta – The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is closely monitoring the implementation of the Simultaneous Regional Elections 2024, especially on the polling day, November 27.
“The DPP PDI Perjuangan is very concerned because the dark sides of democracy are at work.” “Where these dark sides are driven by an insatiable power ambition, which is a combination of three aspects,” said PDIP Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto at the PDIP DPP Office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday (28/11/2024).
“First is Jokowi’s own ambition, then the second is the parcok movement, the brown party, and the third is the acting regional heads.” And this constitutes a crime against democracy,” he continued.
Hasto reviewed the significant anomalies that occurred in the Banten regional election, where there was mobilization of state instruments, both personnel and resources. Then, the North Sumatra regional election, which used rice symbolism for the poor.

“With the code BN, Beras Nasional. Also as an acronym for BN from Bobby Nasution,” he explained.
He also discussed the Central Java regional elections, mentioning that there were serious efforts to destroy the bull’s pen. However, PDIP remains strong in facing the numerous waves of pressure from various directions.
“Later, we can empirically prove that when this bull’s pen is pressured, it actually leads to the progressive sprouting of bull’s pens, including in areas that were previously impossible for PDI Perjuangan to win,” said Hasto.
In addition, the East Java and North Sulawesi regional elections are said to have experienced similar developments as in Banten.
“For that reason, regarding the presence of parcok and the Acting Regional Head, later Mr. Deddy Sitorus” (menyampaikan). And then later, Mr. Ronny will discuss the legal processes that will be undertaken, because there is also a denial of the dignity of the Constitutional Court in the implementation of this Simultaneous Regional Election,” Hasto emphasized.
