Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has appointed Major General TNI Ariyo Windutomo as the Head of the Presidential Secretariat, replacing. Ariyo replaces Heru Budi Hartono.
“I think whatever it is, he (President Prabowo Subianto) must choose the best, whom he feels our support, fully understands that Major General Ariyo’s track record is indeed deserving of that position and we believe he can carry out his duties well,” said Prasetyo in his office, Jakarta, Friday (29/11/2024).
As is known, Ariyo was among the 76 TNI officers who were reassigned by TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto last October. The rotation and transfer were based on the TNI Commander-in-Chief’s Decree Number Kep/1332/X/2024 dated October 31, 2024, regarding the dismissal from and appointment to positions within the Indonesian National Armed Forces.
A graduate of the military academy in 1996, he has held strategic positions within the Indonesian Army and the Ministry of Defense. Ariyo once served as the Head of the Personnel Division at the Ministry of Defense and briefly held the position of Head of the General Bureau of the Ministry of Defense’s Secretariat General.
Most recently, Ariyo served as the Head of the Supervisory Unit (Kasatwas) at the Defense University. (Unhan).
