Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma trials a free nutritious meal program

The ranks of the Indonesian Air Force Base (Lanud) Halim Perdanakusuma conducted a trial of free nutritious meals by serving 750 portions of food for elementary school students.

In a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, Danlanud Halim Perdanakusuma Marsma TNI Muzafar explained that the trial was conducted to support the free nutritious meal program that will be launched by the central government.

“This program is designed to support the reduction of stunting rates while also strengthening the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Danlanud Marsma TNI Muzafar.

Muzafar explained that the free nutritious meals were produced directly by the large kitchen provided by his team. The kitchen is located within the Halim Perdanakusuma complex.

She ensured that the food produced met nutritional standards because the serving process was directly monitored by the National Nutrition Agency. (BGN).

The nutritious side dishes served include rice, fried chicken, tempeh, vegetables, and fruit. The food packages were distributed to students at SD Angkasa 5 Jakarta.

In this trial, they will involve 22 elementary, middle, and high schools around the Lanud Halim Perdanakusuma area.

In the future, they will conduct regular evaluations after the trials in each school. With these evaluations, Muzafar is confident that they will be more prepared to roll out this program regularly.

“We are optimistic that this program will not only improve students’ health but also support the success of the government’s strategic policies in creating a healthy, intelligent, and competitive generation,” said Muzafar.
