President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, praised the solidarity and cooperation of the members of the Merah Putih Cabinet. Prabowo mentioned that this cohesion is the result of a retreat or briefing at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, Central Java, which was conducted over three days.
“I also express my appreciation to the Red and White Cabinet.” I feel there is very good cooperation, I feel there is teamwork, I feel that if we use the analogy of a football team, we can see the unity and cooperation in everything. “Maybe this is the result of the retreat in Magelang,” said Prabowo while leading the plenary cabinet meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday (2/12/2024).
The ministers and deputy ministers immediately laughed upon hearing Prabowo’s statement. Prabowo also wants to extend the ministers’ and deputy ministers’ retreat schedule from three days to five days. “If three days yield such results, maybe we should extend it to five days for even better outcomes.” Bagaimana konsensus? Decision?,” Prabowo stated.
On this occasion, Prabowo expressed appreciation for the hard work of the cabinet ministers who were just over a month into their appointment.
He is pleased that his administration has made decisions beneficial to the community, one of which is the elimination of debts for MSMEs, farmers, and fishermen.
“We can feel this very much, so now they can be more enthusiastic and active again,” he explained.
In addition, Prabowo stated that his administration has increased the national minimum wage for 2025 by 6.5 percent. Furthermore, there are policies to raise teachers’ salaries and reduce airplane ticket prices by 10 percent ahead of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“I feel that everywhere the people sense that we continue to uphold our commitment to always side with the people, to side with national interests,” explained Prabowo Subianto.
